.⠀What do you go by collectively? ⠀└⠀Our system name is The Nutmeg Knights, which can be shortened to Knight. Our system tag is viii and we often use this as a shorthand to label ourselves. We go by the alias Parker or Moth in some online spaces.
.⠀How should people refer to you? ⠀└⠀We go by wholly plural terms, and would like to be addressed individually whenever possible. If you need to refer to us collectively then use they/them/themselves pronouns.
.⠀What terms do you prefer for referring to yourselves as individuals, or as a group? ⠀└⠀Collectively we go by the term system, as individuals we use alters, headmates or members depending on context. Use whatever language best suits context, and if you're unsure then use member.
.⠀Who in your system are people most likely to interact with? ⠀└⠀We have many frequent and semifrequent fronting members, but our hosts would be: ⠀⠀⠀⠀🕯 Ashen, widow/she, host & communicator. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⚠Damage, bit/hope/they, host & anger holder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⛓ Parker, she/he/hero/luck, host & sexual alter.
.⠀Will people be interacting with any child members? How should they treat them? ⠀└⠀The only child members who front on social media are those old enough to use that social media, and even then our younger teen members are supervised whilst doing so, please treat our younger alters how you would treat somebody who is bodily of that age.
.⠀Are there any system members who are nonverbal or otherwise have difficulty communicating? ⠀└⠀Yes, however most of our members with such issues have ways of getting around them. Though if a member's style of typing etc is hard to understand you are more than welcome to ask for a translation.
.⠀What should people do if they don't know who's at front? ⠀└⠀We semi-regularly update front on Pluralkit, meaning you can check front here or any similar site. If this is inaccurate for any reason we don't mind being asked.
.⠀Is it okay for people to ask if they can talk to someone who isn't at front at the moment? ⠀└⠀Yes, as long as they are understanding if they cannot. Sometimes members struggle to front, or have their own personal reasons not to, or simply we aren't available or they don't want. As long as it's reasonable within context then it's fine.
.⠀If someone talks to one of you, will other system members be aware of the conversation? Will they be actively watching, or just able to remember it later? ⠀└⠀This depends on context! Our members will make effort not to view any personal or private conversation not involving them, most of our members have amnesia barriers, and therefore won't be able to remember a conversation someone has had, however certain members such as those within the same subsystems may not have these amnesia barriers! Ask if you're unsure.
.⠀Adding onto the above – if multiple system members will be aware of a conversation, will they want to chime in? If someone wants to speak to a system member one-on-one, what expectations can they have and how should they communicate this? ⠀└⠀Context! If you are having a conversation that is clearly directed at one person it's very unlikely somebody will chime in, it fully depends on what it's about, where it is, who's speaking etc. If a conversation is had in a public space then it can be expected that other members will chime in if they wish to.
.⠀How out are you? What should people do when talking to people who don't know you're plural? ⠀└⠀As stated above, we go by Parker or Moth in allot of spaces, just use common sense and use whatever works best in context. If you're unsure then Parker, they/them.
.⠀Do you have any internal communication difficulties, memory issues, switch triggers, etc that others should be mindful of? ⠀└⠀Sometimes, but not particularly that others should be concerned with, we do have very poor memory in part due to our DID, so please be patient if we don't remember something.
.⠀Your stance on being asked questions? ⠀└⠀Common sense, we're more than open to talking about our plurality but if a question would be intrusive to ask in another context, you probably shouldn't ask it in this one either.
.⠀Is there anything else others should know? ⠀└⠀Ask if you have questions, always refer to us with plural terms, that's all!
